The end of the world as we know it.

June 2nd, 2013.

Perhaps because the movie I watched before going to sleep last night was 2012 (you know, the movie inspired by the predicted "end of the world" by the Mayans), I dreamed that the world was ending.

Slowly the world was being enveloped in this thick, black smoke. First, you should know this: I am desperately in love with one of my best friends but I can't tell him because he is happily dating this pretty little thing he goes to college with, and far be it for me to be the one to disrupt his happiness with her. Anymawhozer, in my dream, we are several years in the future. This friend had knocked up his girlfriend and his girlfriend died in childbirth, but he was left with a precious little girl whom he had named Cora. Well, somehow in the dream I had prior knowledge of the destruction of the earth, so I picked said friend up (along with his adorable baby girl, now a year or two old) and we set off to outrun the end of the earth. While driving and then once on a plane (better for outrunning the smoke, you see), this friend related to me how if he wanted anyone to help him raise his daughter, it was me, because he knew I would raise her to be an independent, strong, and beautiful woman. Shortly after this, I woke up. It was still early in the morning so I promptly fell back asleep and had a new dream.

My friend Katie and I (who has been staying with me for the last month but just moved out to spend a semester in Australia) drove to a far off city to have dinner with some friends. I think this dream was meant to be sometime after the end of the last dream, with the earth being restored and life returning to normal. Said love-of-my-life friend was there at the restaurant, along with a few friends of Katie's. We had dinner peacefully for a while until I became very angry because my friend was flirting unashamedly with the waitress, and as I was very much in love with him and had hoped by now he had figured it out. Clearly he hadn't. I slammed my glass of water on the table a few times, confusing everyone, and when they lost interest in me quickly, I stood up fiercely and stormed out, slamming my glass down on some stranger's table and leaving it there. I sat on the patio outside the restaurant for quite a while before anyone came to check on me. But it was not my friend, it was a male friend of Katie's and he comforted me while I told him the reason for my behavior. That's when I woke up.

I promise I'm not a childish little girl about these things... though my dreams seem to make me look otherwise, huh? I guess it's because no matter how much we hold in on the outside, our dreams don't lie to us. They tell us how we really feel, even when we don't want to admit it to ourselves.

Doctor Who 50th Anniversary

May 29th, 2013.

So in my dream, the 50th Anniversary episode came on. And I watched the episode in the dream but I don't remember anything about it. What I do remember is that in order to understand it, you had to have seen 2 previous episodes and because I couldn't remember what they were about, in the dream I had to watch those too. But I only got through the first one before I had to go to my friend Ty's house. He was throwing a celebratory after-the-50th party. When I arrived, there were a ton of people there (some he didn't even know, like my family, lol), most of them not even DW fans. He and his girlfriend Bethany were both there and when I saw them I tackled both of them to the ground in a bear hug. It was odd. Lol. The young son of an old high school teacher, Harrison, was there too, but he was only like 4 years old and he was the size of like a Barbie doll. The party was being held outside some building which had a sloping yard, a fence at the bottom, and then a drop off at the end of the hill past the fence (where it dropped off into complete nothingness, just a bottomless pit). Harrison was trying to climb through the fence to the cliff face and we had to pull him back and drag him all the way up the hill so he wouldn't fall. That's when I woke up!

The past coming back to flirt with me.

May 22, 2013.

Last night I dreamed that I and a group of people (only one of whom I remember from the dream so I don't know if I actually knew these people) were somehow trapped in a giant mansion. Inside the mansion were also trapped a giant hippo and a giant gorilla. The hippo and gorilla did not get along, and if they ever happened to wind up in the same room of this monstrous mansion together, they would fight. The hippo was peaceful enough, but if the gorilla encountered us, it usually overreacted and tried to kill us (thankfully, he was always unsuccessful). Finally, as a group we decided that we should make the two creatures fight to the death so that we would only have one giant animal to contend with. There was a large pool in a courtyard in the center of the mansion. We led the creatures here. That's when I woke up.

But throughout this dream, the aforementioned person that I know was constantly flirting with me. This person is an old coworker of mine that I had a thing for BIG TIME. I used to call him Mr. Blue Eyes because he had the most gorgeous big blue eyes (I mean, obviously). And I mean, through the whole dream, he just wouldn't stop flirting. I loved it.

I NEVER get flirted with anymore. I haven't flirted with anyone in a long time. So even though this was a dream and it wasn't real, I still really enjoyed it, and it felt good to be flirted with.

Three dreams in one night.

Sitting in my car in the parking lot of my apartment building, two thugs come up and wave a fake gun at me (it's obviously fake because it about the size of a toddler's toy water gun) and demanding all of my money. I tell them I don't carry cash and that I wouldn't give it to them anyway because "your gun is clearly fake." They become angry and demand money anyway, so I pull out the dollar or two that is in my wallet and the small change I have. They take it and get into the car right next to mine. Later I see their car in the parking lot again and I realize that they live there. In anger, I key the number 21 into all of their windows (in the dream this number was significant but now I can't remember why). The whole rest of that dream I spent worrying about them coming after me for keying their car.

The second dream is some kind of girls' night slumber party, where we watched a movie and talked. My mom, my cousin Kayla, and another girl I don't remember was there.

The third dream consisted of some kind of competition, where you had a team and had to accomplish all of these missions inside this building before the other teams did. It was very dangerous, but it wasn't real danger because there were people watching us through cameras to insure we didn't really get hurt. At one point we were in the bathroom using the medical supplies to clean up a few cuts and scrapes when we heard these loud, LOUD footsteps. We thought it was some kind of monster creature coming for us, but it turned out to just be an obese woman and her son who both had very heavy footsteps. That's when I woke up.
